WGSPR will put you in contact with the foster family to further discuss the GSP that you are interested in. If you are approved…Ĭonnect with the family who is fostering the dog you are interested in. If declined, we will provide the reason we are not able to allow you to adopt from us. If you are approved your application will be good for 2 years. After the home visit, WGSPR will determine and notify your family if you are approved for adoption. All family members living in he household must be present for the home visit. The home visit is a chance for WGSPR to get to know your family, your lifestyle, and answer any questions your family has about the breed, the adoption process and more. WGSPR will contact your family to set-up a home visit appointment. Receive a home visit from WGSPR at a jointly agreed date/time. NOTE: It is WGSPR policy that any applicant that has current pets has up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm test and give monthly heartworm preventative in order to be approved to adopt. The length of time for the adoption approval process can vary as it is dependent on the schedules and availability of our volunteers. Applications will be processed as they come in, we will not hold any dogs. WGSPR will conduct a veterinary reference check and background check. WGSPR will review your application and follow up with you via email.
